In the early hours of a summer morning in Washington, D.C., the life of 15-year-old Dre'von Douglas Proctor was tragically cut short. On Saturday, August 9, 2008, at approximately 1:35 a.m., the young man was shot and killed at the intersection of Southern Avenue and Chesapeake Street, Southeast.
