On October 5, 2008, Augustus Palmer, aged 22, was shot and killed in the early hours of the morning at approximately 1:40 a.m. The incident took place in the 3300 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue SE, Washington, D.C. Augustus was found at the scene with fatal gunshot wounds, and his death was later confirmed by authorities.
