In a tragic turn of events on October 3, 2016, 33-year-old Angela Evans was found deceased in her Wilmer, Alabama, home. A loving mother of two children, her life was cut short in what the Mobile County Sheriff's Office investigated as a murder-suicide.
Deputies arriving at the Cuss Fork Road residence discovered a grim scene in the living room. Angela Evans had sustained a fatal gunshot wound. Beside her was the body of her 52-year-old boyfriend, Robert Roberson. Evidence at the scene indicated that Roberson had shot Evans before taking his own life with the same handgun.
Originally from Floresville, Texas, Evans was remembered by those who knew her as a caring individual with a vibrant personality whose life was devoted to her two children. In the wake of the tragedy, her family requested that donations be made to a local organization dedicated to assisting victims of domestic violence. The investigation concluded that Roberson was the sole perpetrator, and with his death, the case was closed.
