On a Sunday evening in Pike Road, Alabama, a confrontation at a residence on Wallahatchie Road turned fatal for Brandon Burton, a 34-year-old Black/African American male. The date was February 26, 2017, a day that ended in a physical struggle and the discharge of a firearm, leading to Burton sustaining a fatal gunshot wound. He was a resident of Opelika, Alabama at the time of his death.
