On July 9, 2021, 49-year-old Ledell Flennory was found deceased in the driveway of his residence in the Bridle Brook Farms subdivision of Pike Road, Alabama. The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene just before 1:00 PM, initiating a death investigation that was soon classified as a homicide.
