On an evening in Auburn, Alabama, a dispute between two men escalated into a fatal encounter. Twenty-year-old Tyquavious Jackson was shot and killed on the steps of an apartment complex on April 2, 2017. The man responsible for his death, Kendrevious Deshaun Dumas, later confessed to the shooting, claiming that earlier in the day Jackson had pointed a gun at his head and demanded his handgun.
