In the spring of 2017, the life of 21-year-old Bradley Nicholas Huey was tragically cut short in Mobile, Alabama. An African-American male, Huey was fatally shot on April 29, 2017. The evening prior, Huey had been visiting his sister and was on his way home when the fatal incident occurred.
Police responded to the intersection of Octavia Drive and Vermillion Drive to find Huey in the street with multiple gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
A few hours later, his black BMW was discovered engulfed in flames in the Alabama Village area of Prichard. Investigators have considered that the motive for the killing may have been a robbery gone wrong.
In the years following Huey's death, his family has continued to seek answers and closure. They have held vigils at the site of his death to honor his memory and to keep his case in the public eye. His brother, Brian Taylor, has publicly expressed the family's desire for justice for his slain brother. Despite their pleas and an offered reward of $5,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible, the case remains unsolved. As of now, there have been no arrests made and no suspects have been publicly identified in the murder of Bradley Nicholas Huey.
