In a tragic turn of events on a Saturday in Tuskegee, Alabama, 58-year-old Ruth Pearl Pierson was fatally shot outside her home. The family was in the midst of preparing to attend the funeral for the mother of Ruth Pearl Pierson's live-in boyfriend when the incident occurred around 11 a.m. Arriving deputies discovered her deceased on the ground outside a car.
