On July 12, 2017, 50-year-old Dana Reeves Lever was fatally shot at her residence in Gardendale, Alabama. The incident occurred around 8 a.m. when her ex-husband, 51-year-old Kenneth Dion Lever, allegedly ambushed Dana, her sister Bonnie Reeves Foshee, 65, and Bonnie's husband, Don Austin Foshee, 69, as they were preparing to attend a graduation ceremony.
