On July 23, 2009, Maurice Antonio Smith, also known as "Mo," was tragically shot and killed in Washington, D.C. The incident took place at approximately 2:11 a.m. in the rear of 1222 Eaton Road, Southeast. Smith, who was 33 years old at the time of his death, was found by authorities after being shot, and despite prompt efforts by emergency responders, he did not survive the attack.
