On January 13, 2018, in Russellville, Alabama, 58-year-old Michael Cody was fatally shot. The Franklin County Sheriff's Office received a call around 11:30 p.m. and responded to a residence on Ethan Avenue in the Oak Hill subdivision, just south of Russellville. Upon arrival, deputies discovered Michael Cody deceased from multiple gunshot wounds.
