On April 8, 2018, 24-year-old William Pate Walker was fatally shot at a residence in the 900 block of Paradise Cove Lane in Shelby, Alabama. Shelby County 911 received a call reporting the shooting shortly after 1 a.m. Upon arrival, deputies found Walker deceased at the scene and detained the suspect, 25-year-old Jacob Ryan Davenport from Chelsea. Davenport was arrested and charged with murder.
