On March 15, 2023, 59-year-old Shelby resident Robert Etress was found deceased from multiple gunshot wounds at his residence on the 2500 block of Highway 311 in south Shelby County. Shelby County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting at approximately 8:32 a.m.

Later that day, investigators identified 28-year-old Donald Patrick Johnson, also of Shelby, as a suspect in the homicide. Johnson was apprehended and charged with murder. He is currently being held in ...Read More
