On June 9, 2018, 40-year-old Dallas John Ferrell, a resident of Millbrook, Alabama, was fatally shot on Lucky Town Road in Elmore. The Elmore County Sheriff's Office reported that deputies responded to multiple 911 calls around 9:00 PM, discovering Ferrell deceased at the scene.
