On July 18, 2019, 74-year-old Bruce Arthur Cosman was fatally shot in the backyard of his Ardmore, Alabama, home. That evening, he and his wife heard suspicious noises outside their residence on Highway 251. When Cosman went to investigate, his wife heard multiple gunshots and found him lying in the yard. Authorities responded to the scene around 7:30 p.m.
