On August 21, 2019, 72-year-old Jerry Thomas Scarborough was fatally shot in his home in Ramer, Alabama. His son, Douglas Keith Scarborough, who lived with his parents, approached Jerry in the kitchen and shot him in the head, resulting in his immediate death.
