On November 24, 2019, 53-year-old Delilah "Susie" McKee was found dead from gunshot wounds at her home on Long Leaf Trail in the Smoke Rise community near Warrior, Alabama. Her estranged husband, Ricky McKee, was also found deceased at the scene. The Blount County Sheriff's Office identified both individuals and indicated that the incident appeared to be domestic-related.
