On May 24, 2020, a tragic shooting occurred in Danville, Alabama, resulting in the deaths of 54-year-old Teresa Lynn Peters, her sister, 50-year-old Tammy Renee Smith, and 55-year-old James Edward Miller. The incident took place around 7 p.m. at a residence on Flint Creek Private Drive. Mary Kennedy, the mother of Teresa and Tammy, was also injured in the shooting but survived.
