Roger Lee Jones Jr., a 19-year-old from Valhermoso Springs, Alabama, was fatally shot on June 4, 2020, in what authorities initially believed to be a tragic case of gun violence. Jones was found lying in the yard of a residence in Valhermoso Springs, suffering from gunshot wounds.
