On December 24, 2020, in Albertville, Alabama, 45-year-old Amanda Jean Hood was fatally shot multiple times in her apartment at Suntrace Apartments. The incident occurred around 1 a.m. Police responded to a call from a nearby Mapco gas station, where they apprehended 28-year-old Tevin Hampton without incident. Hampton, who had been in a relationship with Hood for approximately two years, was charged with her murder.
