In the late hours of a September evening in Falkville, Alabama, a violent encounter tragically cut short the life of Isaac Keola Rodgers. On September 11, 2021, the 31-year-old male from Holly Pond was fatally shot in the 300 block of Jim Henderson Road in the unincorporated area of Falkville. When deputies from the Morgan County Sheriff's Office arrived at the scene just before midnight, they discovered Rodgers, who had succumbed to his injuries.
Investigators quickly processed the scene, and their work led to the arrest of 58-year-old Thomas Dale Chapman of Falkville. Chapman was subsequently charged with murder in connection with Rodgers' death. He was taken into custody and booked into the Morgan County Jail. A bond was set at $150,000. The investigation involved the cooperation of several local agencies, including the Morgan County Coroner's Office, Falkville Fire & Rescue, and the Falkville Police Department.

His passing left a void in the lives of his loved ones, including his wife, Elizabeth Chapman Rodgers, his son, parents, and sister. A memorial service was held to honor his memory on September 15, 2021, at the Cullman Funeral Home Chapel.
