A quiet Saturday evening in Montgomery, Alabama, took a tragic turn on September 25, 2021, ending in the death of 19-year-old Carmen Booker. The young woman, who was visiting from Tennessee, was fatally shot in the 3600 block of Cloverdale Road. The incident unfolded just before 9 p.m., shattering the night's calm and leaving a community in shock. First responders rushed Booker to a nearby hospital, but her injuries proved to be too severe, and she was pronounced dead.
