In the early morning hours of a summer Saturday, the life of 35-year-old Malika Stover was tragically cut short in Washington, D.C. On June 22, 2013, at approximately 2:06 a.m., police responded to reports of a shooting in the 1300 block of Stevens Road in Southeast D.C. Upon arrival, they found a woman suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency services transported her to a local hospital, but she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead.
