On June 22, 2013, Malika Stover, aged 35, was shot and killed in the 1300 block of Stevens Road, Southeast Washington, D.C. The incident occurred at approximately 2:06 a.m. in the early hours of Saturday morning. According to the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), Stover was found after reports of gunshots in the area. She was later pronounced dead at the scene.
