On April 30, 2022, at approximately 2:30 PM, deputies from the Jackson County and DeKalb County Sheriff's Offices responded to a reported shooting at a residence on County Road 354 in Pisgah, Alabama. Upon arrival, they discovered 68-year-old Horace "Bimbo" Garren and his 44-year-old son, Christopher Horace Garren, deceased in the backyard from apparent gunshot wounds.
