In the quiet community of Pisgah, Alabama, a tragic event unfolded on December 11, 2023, that ended the life of 44-year-old Shawnon Ray Jordan. A male resident of Henagar, Jordan was found inside a residence on County Road 88 suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The Jackson County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene and immediately launched a homicide investigation into the violent death.
The investigation into Jordan's death led authorities to 32-year-old Joshua Alan Goolesby.
Following their inquiry, investigators arrested Goolesby and charged him with murder. He was subsequently taken into custody and held at the Jackson County Jail without bond. A preliminary hearing for Goolesby was scheduled for January 10, 2024, as the legal process began to unfold.
