On a Sunday evening in Huntsville, Alabama, a dispute between two partners ended in the death of 45-year-old Anthony Curtis Wilson. On September 25, 2022, Huntsville Police were called to a residence in the 1500 block of Sparkman Drive shortly before 5:40 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered Wilson, a male, deceased from a gunshot wound.
Investigators quickly identified 59-year-old Shirley Ann Logan as the suspect.
It was determined that Logan and Wilson were in an ongoing relationship and that a verbal altercation had preceded the fatal shooting. The authorities believe the shooting was an act of domestic violence. Logan was arrested at the scene and charged with murder.
Following her arrest, Shirley Ann Logan was booked into the Madison County Jail. Her bond was set at $80,000. The case proceeded through the legal system, and in May 2024, a grand jury indicted Logan, who was 61 at the time, on the murder charge. This indictment means her trial will move forward, though a specific court date has not yet been publicly set.
