On March 18, 2023, 52-year-old Clemmie Brown and his wife, 42-year-old Syretta Brown, were fatally shot in their home on McFarland Road in Spanish Fort, Alabama. Their 25-year-old son, Trinell Brown, was arrested and charged with their murders. Investigators reported that Trinell used an AR-15 style rifle, firing at least 15 rounds, to shoot his parents multiple times. A four-year-old child, identified as Trinell's daughter, was present during the incident and witnessed the shootings.
