In the quiet community of New Market, Alabama, a tragic event shattered the peace on April 13, 2023. Ann Ferrel, a 64-year-old female, and another individual, 31-year-old Charlie Walker, were found fatally shot at a residence on Rose Valley Drive. The Madison County Sheriff's Office responded to a 911 call around 12:20 p.m., discovering the two victims inside the home.
The initial investigation quickly pointed to a juvenile family member as the suspect.
Following the shooting, the young relative fled the scene in one of the victim's vehicles. Law enforcement officers spotted the car in the vicinity and initiated a pursuit when the driver refused to stop. The chase was short, and deputies were able to apprehend the juvenile.
