On May 13, 2023, 49-year-old Benjamin "Benji" Miller was fatally shot at his residence on Old Foshee Road, north of Flomaton, Alabama. The incident occurred around 9 p.m. during an argument between Benjamin and his brother, Shawn Miller. Escambia County Sheriff Heath Jackson reported that the altercation escalated, leading to Shawn shooting Benjamin, who succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
