On June 3, 2023, in Mount Vernon, Alabama, 40-year-old Joseph Wayne Frazier Jr. was fatally shot multiple times with a .22 caliber firearm. The incident occurred at approximately 8:45 PM at 3750 West Coy Smith Highway. Upon arrival, authorities found Frazier lying on his back outside the residence.
