On August 21st, in the 500 block of Violet Street, an assault occurred around 10 p.m. that would prove fatal for the young man. He had been shot, and the circumstances surrounding the incident remain a somber mystery.
The following morning, a grim discovery was made in a field near the 1400 block of Woodward Road in Birmingham.
It was there that Aaron Lamar Maxwell's body was found. The Midfield Police Department was notified and promptly launched a homicide investigation into his death. His passing left his father and other relatives to mourn a life ended far too soon.
