Kameron Dee McPeters, a 29-year-old man from Hazel Green, Alabama, was fatally shot on September 13, 2023. The shooting occurred in the early morning hours at a residence in the 100 block of Old Railroad Bed Road, a rural area located just north of Huntsville. Authorities responded to the scene after receiving a call reporting a shooting. When officers arrived, they found McPeters suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
