On the evening of February 27, 2024, at approximately 7:15 PM, Montgomery police and fire medics responded to a shooting incident in the 3800 block of South Court Street, near Delano Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered 34-year-old Montgomery resident Cortavious Eugene McLean deceased from a gunshot wound. Initially, authorities launched a homicide investigation into McLean's death.
