On September 14, 2024, 36-year-old Ashley Marie Leonard was fatally shot during a domestic dispute in Piedmont, Alabama. The incident occurred on Hughes Street, where an argument escalated, leading to her being shot in the head. Emergency responders found her unresponsive but still breathing; she was transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 7:28 p.m.
