On October 16, 2015, Joel David Midgett, aged 24, was fatally stabbed in the 200 block of K Street, NW, Washington, D.C., around 1:10 AM. Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) officers responded to reports of a stabbing at the scene, where they discovered Midgett along with another adult male, both suffering from apparent stab wounds.
