On December 28, 2015, Kevin Prater, aged 31, was fatally shot in the 1000 block of Savannah Street SE, Washington, D.C. The incident occurred at approximately 8:20 p.m., and Prater was found at the scene suffering from gunshot wounds. The Metropolitan Police Department responded quickly, but Prater succumbed to his injuries before any medical intervention could save him.
