In the late spring of 2016, a Sunday evening in Washington, D.C. turned fatal for a young man from Maryland. Russell Crawford, a 32-year-old male from Suitland, was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the 1300 block of 7th Street, Northwest. The discovery was made by third district police officers who were responding to the scene. Emergency medical services transported Crawford to a local hospital in an attempt to save his life.
