John Oliver "Jack" Rutherford Jr., a 31-year-old resident of Sterling, Alaska, passed away on June 21, 2015. Born on November 21, 1983, in Anchorage, Alaska, to John Oliver "Jack" Rutherford Sr. and Loretta Eckert Brail, he spent his entire life in Alaska. Jack was a self-employed painter who took pride in his work. He enjoyed walking in the woods, playing his guitar, listening to music, writing poetry, and inventing things.
