On August 27, 2017, in the early hours, 24-year-old Bruce "Gotor" Morgan was fatally shot in Aniak, Alaska. The incident began when 29-year-old resident Joseph Yaska returned home intoxicated from a social gathering. Upon arrival, Yaska assaulted his girlfriend, Jessica Lee, and her friend, Ashley Morgan. He then retrieved an AK-47 rifle, threatened Lee, and shot her twice as she attempted to flee.
