On May 25, 2021, in Holy Cross, Alaska, 71-year-old Alden Gerald Walker Sr. was fatally shot by his son, 34-year-old Devyn Walker, during an incident on a boat. Following the shooting, Devyn barricaded himself inside a residence, leading to a standoff with Alaska State Troopers that lasted approximately 24 hours.
