On August 6, 2023, 21-year-old Saria Hildabrand, a combat medic with the Alaska Army National Guard, was reported missing in Anchorage, Alaska. Her husband, Zarrius Hildabrand, also 21 and an active-duty U.S. Army soldier stationed at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, informed authorities that Saria had left their apartment that morning to walk to her job at a local sandwich shop.
