On the night of October 24, 2022, at approximately 10:10 PM, Birmingham 9-1-1 received a call reporting a person shot in the 10 block of Elba Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered 22-year-old Birmingham resident Keyon Pollock suffering from a gunshot wound. Preliminary investigations suggest that Pollock had approached a nearby residence, requesting assistance after being shot.
