In the late summer of 2022, the life of 20-year-old Derrell Lamont Willis was tragically cut short in Birmingham, Alabama. On the evening of August 31st, Willis was found suffering from a gunshot wound in the Gate City community. The young man, a father, was rushed to a nearby hospital, but his injuries proved to be fatal.
