Death by Force

On September 17, 2022, 23-year-old De'Anthony Latrell "Zip" Elston was found unresponsive in a gray Dodge Challenger on Wood Street in Sylacauga, Alabama, after reports of gunfire around 12:30 p.m. He had sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Talladega County Coroner's Office. His body was subsequently transported to the Alabama Department of Forensic Science in Montgomery for an autopsy.
