On June 30, 2022, 32-year-old Deputy Sheriff Bradley Steven Henry Johnson of the Bibb County Sheriff's Office in Centreville, Alabama, succumbed to a gunshot wound sustained the previous day. On June 29, at approximately 5:00 p.m., Deputy Johnson and another deputy were pursuing a suspect in a stolen vehicle near the intersection of Alabama Highway 25 and Bulldog Bend Road.
