On February 4, 2021, 33-year-old Edward "EJ" Dee Stewart III was fatally shot at the Anchor Motel, located at 8420 1st Avenue North in Birmingham, Alabama. The Birmingham Police Department responded to the incident and initiated a homicide investigation.

Following the investigation, authorities identified 42-year-old James Harrison of Birmingham as the suspect in Stewart's murder. Detectives obtained a warrant for Harrison's arrest, charging him with murder and setting a bond at $150,0 ...Read More
