On July 2, 2021, the Chilton County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a burned vehicle containing human remains in a wooded area off County Road 5014, near Jemison, Alabama. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a badly burned SUV with the charred remains of three individuals inside.
