On May 31, 2021, in Jemison, Alabama, 71-year-old Roger Dale Keller was involved in a fatal encounter with law enforcement. Around 11:30 a.m., Jemison Police Department officers responded to a report of a man with a gun threatening to shoot two individuals in the front yard of a residence on County Road 954. Witnesses indicated that Keller had already fired multiple shots before the officers arrived.
