In the early hours of Sunday, August 30, 2020, the life of 29-year-old Christopher Shawn Vance, a Black male from Birmingham, Alabama, was tragically cut short. At approximately 1:20 a.m., Birmingham Police Department's West Precinct officers were dispatched to an apartment located at 1515 20th Place Ensley following a report of a person with a gun.
