On August 30, 2020, 29-year-old Christopher Shawn Vance was fatally shot in Birmingham, Alabama. At approximately 1:20 a.m., officers from the West Precinct responded to reports of a person with a gun at 1515 20th Place Ensley. Upon arrival, they discovered Vance unresponsive inside an apartment, suffering from a gunshot wound; he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
