On April 16, 2020, at approximately 6:00 p.m., Birmingham Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting on Interstate 59/20 North near 17th Street, just south of downtown Birmingham. Upon arrival, they discovered a black SUV stopped in the middle lane, riddled with multiple bullet holes.
